My work is internal: growing up in Maine on an island can be very isolating, maybe even overwhelming, but ever the young chronicler armed at an early age with a Brownie camera, tattered journal, and comic books, one learns to entertain and amuse…telling stories is the only reward. Looking closely you can see the ocean at its most determined, and sometimes the loneliness of a gray-green night that even fantasies can’t dream away.  A twilight world, inviting the viewer into this private place of dreams, encounters, and not so tame fairy tales, hoping it will seem strangely familiar.
